Wicked - Theatre Trip

There are still the last few remaining spaces on the Wicked trip in June. The tickets are £37 and they inculde transport to and from the Apollo Theatre in London.

This years enrichment production has been announced and the cast have been brought together. Rehearsals strart on the 7th March and information is outside the drama studio on the production notice board.

Oliver - What a Success!

Once again I am taken back by the sheer enthusiasm of our students when it comes to our whole school productions. This week we have performed eight productions of Oliver to packed crowds and whilst I know the cast/crew and band are shattered I know that they will look back over the past few months with great fondness.

We continue to set high standards in all the productions that we do and to follow Grease (2009) was no mean feat!

We once again combined all of the elements of Performing Arts to create a ‘complete’ musical and my thanks again goes to all who have worked so hard on this production.

The commitment by the students and staff to this show reminds me how lucky I am in my position as Head of Performing Arts to work with so many talented individuals.

It is hard to name just certain stars as to me everyone involved is simply a star. I always feel a sense of loss after a show has gone but I know that Oliver will remain in our hearts for ever more.

I remained stunned—simply stunned …

Mr C has secured tickets to see Wicked in London on the 26th June 2012. Letters our now available and tickets are allocated on a 'first come, first served' basis. The cost will be £37.

Year 13 A-Level Drama: Cutting Edge Devised Theatre

Oliver up and running!

The 2011 Christmas show, Oliver! is now fully in rehearsal and with just 2 weeks to go tickets are on sale! - prices are £7 adults, £5 concessions and there is a family ticket (2 adults, 2 children) available for £20.

These can be bought from the performing arts office and break and lunch or by phoning 01249 818100.

The production runs from Thursday 8th December until Tuesday 13th December. Please note there is no show on the 11th and the Saturday is a matinee starting at 2pm. All other shows start at 7.30pm.
